Oprah Winfrey is known for many things, charitable in many ways. She has given a piece of herslef for years, especially being a victim of circumstance at one point in her life, she knows how it is to have a need for a life beyond what is sitting in front of her. She has taken her blessing and have blessed people around the world. People condemned her for her contributions in South Africa, not understanding that "WE ARE ONE PEOPLE."
Oprah Winfrey was raped at age nine and lost a child at age 14, and has managed to develop into such a business woman, having endured such trials in her own life. She began as a radio personality, and has gone from that to being one of the most popular and wealthy television host, as she host The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago. ANGELINA JOLIE AND BRAD PITT
Daughter of actor John Voigt, Angelina Jolie has made a name for herself in the movie industry as well, but beyond her acting capabilities, Jolie and partner Brad Pitt, and esteemed actor as well have taken time to travel the world and give a large part of their lives to helping and figuring how we can help the less fortunate. Going beyond the act of philanthropy, they have also taken it upon themselves to bring children from different cultures into their own lives, as they have adopted children from other countries as their own.
According to Philanthropy Today Brad Pitt gave $4.4 million to the Jolie Pitt Foundation and Angelina Jolie gave $4.1 million totaling $8.5 million to their charity which had only accrued $27,000 in expenses.
